#1) L.A. Lakers (17-3): Still rolling with 10 straight.

#2) Boston (18-4): Putting itself right back where it wanted to be last year before Garnett’s injury. Need a quality win against another big-time contender.

#3) Orlando (17-5): Loss at Utah not a huge deal.

#4) Atlanta (15-6): Good win at Dallas.

#5) Denver (16-7): Had a chance to move up higher before two straight losses on road trip.

#6) Cleveland (15-7): No one is buying this team yet, but the pieces are there. More from Shaq would be a plus.

#7) Dallas (15-7): A team that’s capable of beating anyone, but will the consistency be there?

#8) Phoenix (15-7): Starting to look a little vulnerable.

#9) Utah (13-9): Wins against Orlando and San Antonio show potential.

#10) Portland (14-9): Oden loss hurts. A lot.
