ORLANDO, Fla. — Tiger Woods was injured in a car accident early Friday near his Florida home, but was released from the hospital later in the day. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at 2:25 a.m. ET, though the accident report was not released until nearly 12 hours later.

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Tiger Woods was seriously injured early Friday when he hit a fire hydrant and a tree near his Florida home, authorities said. The Florida Highway Patrol said the PGA star hit the fire hydrant and tree as he pulled out of his driveway in his 2009 Cadillac sport utility vehicle.
